Counterpoints brings together the work of seven contemporary abstract painters, in an exhibition which counterpoints a single painting with a work on paper by each artist. In some pairings, the images directly reference each other – Rasmussen’s monotype being printed from the surface of his canvas, for example. Elsewhere, relationships between the exhibits explore study drawings, transpositions of visual thematics in different medias, and associated prints.
